What holds exhaust in place?

The exhaust system runs from the front of your vehicle to the back and require hangers to ensure that the parts and piping are held in place. Hangers are made of rubber and stretched between hooks in order to secure the exhaust system.
Removing any restriction from the exhaust will always give you power gains but really they are just nominal and may move your torque band up higher, turbo charged and supercharged cars would generally see an increase.
